The Legend of Zelda and Howl’s Moving Castle inspired Engagement Ring
At Takayas Custom jewelry, we love working with clients from around the world to bring their unique love stories to life through custom-designed jewelry. One of our recent projects was for Kenny, a client from France who had a very special plan: he was going to propose in Japan! To mark this incredible occasion, Kenny wanted a one-of-a-kind engagement ring that would reflect both their journey together and the deep love he holds for his partner. 
Takayas delighted in creating a meaningful and beautiful engagement ring design that encompassed aspects from The Legend of Zelda and Howl’s Moving Castle – two beloved inspirations that would capture his partner’s heart. The ring is crafted in two-tone gold, with a stunning round-cut sapphire as its center stone. The shank, made from white gold, is adorned with sumptuous rose gold overlays that create a breathtaking contrast. 
From the shoulders, the iconic Triforce design stands proudly, symbolizing wisdom, courage, and power. Cascading down the sides of the shank, a checkerboard pattern elegantly coordinates with the Triforce, serving as a subtle nod to Howl’s flamboyant jackets. Within the side galleries, Calcifer makes an appearance, adding a touch of warmth and charm to the design. A closer look reveals a brilliant fusion – Calcifer and the Triforce motifs seamlessly transform into the prongs that securely hold the sapphire in place. 
Adding a deeply personal touch, Takayas incorporated a hidden detail on the inner band: tiny paw prints in honor of the client’s beloved cat, Raichu. This thoughtful engraving ensures that a piece of home and cherished memories will always be with them.
With the ring completed, Kenny set off on his journey to Japan, carrying with him not just a beautiful piece of jewelry but also the hope and dreams of a future together. We were thrilled to hear back from him after the proposal – he and his partner are now happily engaged! The moment was as magical as he had envisioned, and we couldn’t be more honored to have played a small part in their love story.
