Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings Inspired Wedding Rings: A Tale of Love and Legacy

When Sophia and Brian decided to commission their bespoke wedding rings, they wanted their rings to symbolize not only their commitment but also the rich tapestry of their shared passions and personal history that make their unique love story. They turned to Takayas to weave all of this together into one-of-a-kind jewelry that would be as meaningful as beautiful. Takayas looked forward to this exciting challenge and great honor!

Sophia's Lord of the Rings & Star Wars Engagement Ring

For Sophia, her wedding band and engagement ring represented two worlds that had always been close to her heart: The Lord of the Rings and The Mandalorian. Perhaps the most poignant aspect of Sophia’s engagement ring was the blue black diamond at its center. This diamond was no ordinary stone—it had been created using her father’s ashes. While he could not be there in person to walk her down the aisle, he would be a guiding presence in the couple’s lives and forever be a part of their journey.

Takayas set the stone in a gleaming platinum with a design that incorporated the Mandalorian Mercs symbol on the shank intertwined with an opulent leafy and vine-like Elvish motif. The sinuous organic design evokes the magical world of the Lord of the Rings with the vines and leaves growing and reaching upwards to the center stone, creating the lovely, pointed prongs.

For the coordinating ring, Takayas expanded on the design with an arching crown-like wedding band. A black diamond sits at the center of it along with a design evoking the Mandalorian Clan symbol at its center and more delightful elvish vines and leaves.

Brian's Star Wars and Lord of the Rings Wedding Band

Brian’s wedding band was no less a testament to his own passions and the couple’s shared love for epic tales. His ring featured the Imperial symbol from Star Wars, a powerful emblem of his admiration for the galaxy far, far away. At the center of the ring a black diamond coordinates with Sophia’s bridal set as well as nods to his beloved father-in-law. Down the shoulders, Takayas incorporated Sauron's Mace morphing out of the central Imperial emblem. Going further down the shank, Narsil's Sword is featured with its jagged edge tapering along the shank. Takayas treated the ring with black rhodium to give it a fierce and commanding appearance against the lustrous platinum.

"HOME" in Mandalorian

For his signature of hiding special details within his rings, Takayas engraved “Home” in Mandalorian inside Sophia’s engagement ring and Brian’s wedding band. This simple word worn close to their skin would serve as a reminder of where their hearts truly reside.
