Final Fantasy XIV Paladin and Bard Inspired Engagement Ring

When Michael set out to find the perfect engagement ring for his girlfriend Bernice, he envisioned a design that would capture the essence of their shared love for Final Fantasy XIV. To bring his vision to life for a proposal at an orchestral Final Fantasy concert , Michael looked beyond his country’s border to find just the right designer for his dream ring. Thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, he found Takayas to craft his meaningful and one-of-kind ring. Deeply honored, Takayas endeavored to create an engagement ring that blended the couple’s passion for gaming and music to symbolize their love story. 

To crown Michael’s engagement ring, Takayas selected a magnificent round brilliant diamond, a timeless gem representing love, strength, and purity in marriage.  He set the diamond in a gleaming white gold band with more twinkling diamonds flanking it on the shoulders. Three stones give the ring a harmonious aesthetic, highlighting the shank’s intricate design while not competing with it. Additionally, these three sparkling diamonds can be thought of as couple’s past, present and future.

Emanating from the diamonds down the shank and nodding to Michael’s character in FFXIV, Takayas used the mighty armor and weapons of the Paladin class for the foundation of the design. Motifs from Bernice’s Bard class caress either side of the Paladin’s iconography. 

One side gallery features the Bard's lyre harp, reaching around the top of the accent diamond. Next to it, a treble clef is yet another nod to the Bard class, but also a sweet reminder of the momentous day of Michael’s proposal. The opposite side is adorned with the Paladin pauldron armor motif.

Finally, as a sweet surprise, Takayas carved an adorable Moogle within the ring’s band, hiding under the diamond center stone on the under gallery.
