Takayas approached this design with the intention of letting the spirit of Final Fantasy XIV quietly live within the piece, rather than recreating its direct motifs.
He sought to craft a ring that conveys its inner story with calmness, depth, and quiet emotion that endures through time.

The client described wanting something organic and flowing, a design that would feel delicate but still have presence, something that felt like them, not like a costume or a copy of the game. Takayas took those words to heart and began refining every curve and contour until the piece carried that quiet balance of movement and stillness he envisioned.

Set in 18K white gold, the ring centers on a round aquamarine chosen for its calm, translucent hue. The stone’s gentle clarity harmonizes with the cool tone of the metal, creating a balanced impression that feels both light and enduring. Serving as the quiet focal point of the design, the aquamarine reflects the sense of serenity and inner strength that guided Takayas’s creative vision.

Along the shank, Takayas shaped a series of flowing, organic lines inspired by the essence of the Red Mage. Rather than replicating recognizable motifs, he abstracted elements from the job symbol and mana bar into a continuous filigree pattern. The details are subtle and refined, revealing their character only upon close observation, a design that lives comfortably between elegance and expression.

When the ring was finally complete, it captured the essence of what Takayas envisioned: an elegant design that speaks softly, holding both artistry and emotion in perfect equilibrium. The aquamarine’s light shimmers with a subtle magic, uniting two worlds, the imaginative and the real.
