When it came time for Martin to propose to his girlfriend Alice, he knew he wanted to create a contemporary sapphire ring that captured her jewelry tastes in a simplistic, elegant style.
So while Alice was at work, Martin made an appointment to visit the studio to discuss the ring's design with Takayas and give us a better idea of her personality and their shared interests. He wanted to be hands on with the design process so that we would have lots of references to drawn on for design inspiration.
After getting a feel for Alice's design preferences, Takayas narrowed down the ring's style based on the discreet sample pictures Martin took of her jewelry collection which featured many organic, nature inspired pieces. The resulting 18K white gold and accent diamond engagement ring features a pattern of leaves that curve around a 1.11 ct sapphire.

When they later came back to the studio to re-size the ring, we finally got to meet Alice, who was just as nice and fantastic as Martin described. We wish them both a lifetime of joy together.
