Takayas & Co. stands by the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. Our mission is to craft a stunning jewelry creation you'll cherish forever - which is why our pieces are individually handmade, held up to our highest standards. We guarantee that your fine jewelry purchase will be free from defects in craftsmanship upon delivery.
Your Takayas & Co. jewelry is covered by our warranty for one (1) year after purchase. Under this warranty, we are able to provide free routine inspection and cleaning services for your jewelry covered under once per year. Your warranty will renew each time we service your jewelry.
We will also replace any broken or lost accent gemstones, and perform repairs to mountings, free of charge within one (1) year of purchase. Other types of repairs (including resizes), or accent stone replacements or mounting repairs not covered by our warranty, are offered for a customer's discount.
If you have your Takayas & Co. jewelry repaired or altered by another jeweler, it will void your warranty with us. We are not responsible for third party maintenance of your jewelry and do not service jewelry purchased from other retailers. Negligent use or abuse of your Takayas & Co. jewelry may also void your warranty.
We know a diamond can be a big purchase - and if you're using one in your special jewelry project, we want to provide you with everything you could want to know about your beautiful stone. All of the 0.50-carat and larger natural diamonds we source come with an official dossier or certificate issued by either GIA (the Gemological Institute of America) or EGL (the European Gemological Laboratory), two of the top gemological laboratories in the world. All 0.50-carat and larger lab-grown diamonds are accompanied by official documentation from their lab of origin.
Your diamond's documentation will include the unique internal and external characteristics of your stone, as well as a report specifying the carat weight, cut, color, and clarity of your diamond.
Return & Refund Policy
All sales of jewelry pieces, including pieces from our “Beyond by Takayas” and other jewelry collections and pieces commissioned as a custom design or special order, are final. Finished jewelry pieces are non-returnable and non-refundable. Initial deposits and subsequent payments for canceled orders are also non-refundable.
What information do we collect?
When you make a purchase on our website or make a custom order via email, we will ask for your name, email address, phone number, billing/shipping address, and credit card information. The information we collect will not be used for marketing purposes without your consent.
Like many websites, we use "cookies" to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors to our website. When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer's internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
How do we use your information?
The information we collect from you is used to process your order. We will not use your information for marketing purposes without your consent. If you have filled out the inquiry form on our website, we may send you periodic emails with special offers. If you no longer wish to receive promotional emails from us, please send us a quick email to let us know. (Please refer to the section titled "How can you opt out of receiving emails from us" for more information.) If you have not filled out or inquiry form, or otherwise opted-in to receive email newsletters from us, you will not receive these emails.
How do we protect your information?
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice, except as described below. The term “outside parties” does not include our business. It also does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when necessary to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.
How can you opt out of receiving emails from us, and/or remove or modify information you have provided to us?
If, after you've opted-in to receive emails from us, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you at anytime by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. To modify or delete your information from our database, please call us at 213-538-8252 or send an email with your request. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping.
Third party services
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in, or have facilities that are located in, a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
Our store is hosted on SquareSpace.com. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through SquareSpace.com’s data storage, databases and the general SquareSpace.com application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then SquareSpace.com stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
