Takayas was honored with a commission for a truly extraordinary ring when Kevin reached out to us last year. Together for fourteen years with his beloved Celicia, the next milestone of their relationship awaited. Kevin envisioned an engagement ring that would draw inspiration from their mutual adoration for The Legend of Zelda and Chrono Trigger. With these legendary franchises as his muse, Takayas set out to create a tangible symbol of their union that would transcend love and space as well as embody their beloved pastime.

For Kevin, the Zora Sapphire, the Spiritual Stone of Water, was the natural choice for the ring’s centerpiece. With their mesmerizing blue hues, sapphires are said to represent honesty, sincerity, and faithfulness. It’s been said that they are talismans for good fortune and a strong marriage. Crafted in gleaming white gold, three sapphires were delicately united by crescent moons, a celestial homage to the cosmic forces that brought the couple together. This trinity of crescents and sapphires serve as symbols of the couple’s past, present and future.

The shank of the ring was equally emblematic of the couple’s relationship. Adorning the sides of the ring were intricate designs inspired by Chrono Trigger. Meticulously designed, Takayas featured gears, clocks, and other iconic imagery from the game representing the passage of time and the myriad adventures they had shared. Adding to the allure of the shank are sparkling diamonds at the sides, a nod to the eternal brilliance of their love.
